The calendar is shaping up

We recently met with the Spectrum project managers handling Presque Isle to get an update on progress. While subject to change, they are hoping to have all of Presque Isle completed by the end of October, 2024.

They also shared a map showing the tentative dates when different parts of the Town will be completed and ready for customer installations:

You can click on this map to make it larger.

We are working on a more interactive map so you can select your address and locate it on the map.

One of the big things that can hold up progress is obtaining easements to allow Spectrum to install the fiber along private roads. These easement requests need to be signed, notarized, and returned as quickly as possible to keep the project moving.

We are also working with Spectrum to make sure that their list of locations to be serviced matches up with data from the Town and Vilas County. We still have some discrepancies, but hope to have those all resolved within the next couple months.

As you can see from the map, Spectrum is moving from east to west through the Town, using CTH B as the main artery to bring the fiber to all parts of the Town. The big push will be this Summer, so stay tuned for more frequent updates.
